Mila holds two aces and Luka holds the third. Only one ace is left in the whole deck, so you can’t have a pair of aces, and at most one ace can be yours. Mila already has the best possible starting hand at this table.

Every card you can see is a card you don’t have.

All you could hold that beats him

The board shows Q♦ 7♥ 2♠ and Luka holds two more sevens, so he has three of a kind. To be ahead of him right now you’d need two of the three queens that are left. That’s 3 of the 1,081 two-card hands you could be holding.

If almost nothing you could hold beats them, fold or keep it cheap.

Everyone else can see your two cards. You bet 80 and Bojan folds a pair of nines, so he’s telling you your cards beat nines. If someone keeps raising you with a weak hand, your cards are probably even weaker.

Their bets are your only window onto your own hand.
